Making a Pencil Extension

Here is a handy tip for pencil users!
When your pencil gets too short it still has lots of lead left; often half the pencil and balance becomes affected – sometimes the pencil even disappears into your hand when you try to use it.
I’ve come up with a simple solution. All you need is the cap of an eyebrow pencil (no – it wasn’t mine!) I’ve created the extension you see in the image using a different colour pencil for ease of demonstration.
Take the sealed end of the eyebrow cap off with a hacksaw and file it smooth to make a hollow tube. Hacksaw the end of a pencil and sleeve the tube onto it. Slip the pencil sleeve you have created onto your short pencil and you have created a pencil extension!
The cap is very thin and lightweight so it doesn’t impede usage.
