There’s a line in the Abba song “Thank you for the music” that asks a question – “Without a song or a dance what are we?” It carries two meanings; one in the context of the song, pointing at the wonders of music and dance then another meaning: if the song or a dance, means song and a dance, it points to making a fuss, a big issue, or a big deal often over trivial matters.

“Without a song or a dance what are we?” (Second meaning) So then what are we? At peace, content, more likely to cope, feeling lighter, more lovable and happier. When the drama no longer becomes an identity, the music can play, the song can lift you and the dance can move you. The music can move you back to the original context and the reason Abba said “Thank you for the music”.

So, thank you Abba; world leading band and also inspiring us through both their music and lyrics 🙂
